A Star Landed at Tiffany Square

      A Star was here; When Lawson Bates of the UP TV’s Bringing up Bates came by to share his musical talent. Lawson a new recording artist is 4th of 19 children in the now famous Bates Family from East Tennessee. Lawson has a passion for music and sharing GOD’s word.

Lawson made his way to Grand Island via a special friend of our Facility Michael Koenig and his family. With the help of social media and fellowship Lawson and The Koenig family became friends. With Michael’s daughters Sweet 16 coming up and wanting to do something different for her, Michael invited Lawson out to Perform. Lawson agreed to come share his talent for the party as well a few small shows while in the area.

Lawson flew in last week from Tennessee to a “cornfield” as he says: AKA Kearney, Ne after a flight cancellation from Dallas to Grand Island, he arrived in time for the sweet 16 party. Then he graced us with his amazing talent and message Wednesday morning. Lawson shared classics such as Old Rugged Cross, Red River Rose, a few of his originals and some other timeless classics acoustically on his guitar.  We are blessed to have this young man share his talent with us and for Michael and his family for allowing us this opportunity. Many of the residents sang along with Lawson as he sang selections they knew.
