Short-term rehab patients at Tiffany Square are benefitting from the safe, unweighting environment within the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill with less pain and faster progression after injuries and surgeries.
Alter-G Anti-Gravity Treadmill users can take up to 80% of the load off their lower body, in precise 1% increments, encouraging motion without pain. It is the only unweighting system that allows for normal gait mechanics and muscle firing patterns while exercising on a treadmill. With precise calibration the user determines the point where muscle movement becomes pain-free and enables clinicians to set a baseline and track your progress.
FDA- cleared for a wide range of uses includes:
- Rehabilitation following injury or surgery of the lower extremity (hip, knee, ankle or foot)
- Rehabilitation after total joint replacement
- Gait training in neurologic patients
- Strengthening and conditioning in older patients
As a result, rehabilitation is significantly quicker with less joint impact in the recovery process.
